Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) N.V., a subsidiary of Hitachi Construction Machinery Co., Ltd., is set to make a groundbreaking appearance at Bauma 2025, the international construction machinery exhibition in Munich, Germany, from April 7 to 13, 2025. Under the theme "Challenges Accepted," the company will showcase its future-oriented innovations, with the spotlight on its transformative new concept: LANDCROS.
Introduced in July 2024, LANDCROS represents Hitachi Construction Machinery's pledge to deliver innovative solutions that empower clients to excel in a competitive market. Bauma 2025 marks the first public debut of this visionary concept, signaling the company's commitment to open collaboration and leadership in the construction machinery industry.
Addressing the challenge of fragmented data across multi-brand equipment, the LANDCROS Connect system enables unified management of all construction site machinery, regardless of manufacturer. This breakthrough platform provides real-time insights into equipment performance, facilitating smarter decision-making and reducing operational costs.
Hitachi Construction Machinery is fostering open innovation through its LANDCROS Innovation Studios , a collaborative platform for partnering with startups. This initiative aims to co-develop cutting-edge solutions tailored to customer needs, creating a dynamic ecosystem for industry advancement.
Demonstrating its commitment to sustainability, Hitachi will display nine zero-emission excavators ranging from 1.7 to 30 tons, alongside specialized charging infrastructure. A highlight includes the debut of a 30-ton hydrogen-powered hydraulic excavator, developed in partnership with KTEG GmbH, and a live demonstration of the autonomous 14-ton battery-powered ZE135 excavator.
Beyond hardware, Hitachi is enhancing operational efficiency through digital solutions like ConSite service platforms and financial leasing options. The exhibition will also feature XR smart glasses, merging augmented reality with practical applications for maintenance, diagnostics, and training in construction and mining environments.
Located at Booth FN.716 across 4,000 square meters, Hitachi Construction Machinery's exhibit will feature over 30 machines spanning 1 to 120 tons, showcasing the company's latest advancements in construction and mining technology.
Bauma 2025 attendees are invited to experience the LANDCROS concept firsthand and explore how Hitachi Construction Machinery is shaping the future of the industry through innovation and sustainability.
